Scope and responsibility

This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of the agreement between RecDial Pty Ltd and each Customer. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.

You must comply with this policy and ensure that your authorised users, named affiliates, contractors, connected systems, and anyone using the Services through your account also complies. You remain responsible for activity conducted through your accounts, numbers, integrations, and credentials.

You must cooperate reasonably with abuse, fraud, carrier, regulatory, security, and network investigations, including by providing evidence of identity, authority, consent, or the purpose of communications where reasonably requested.

Lawful and appropriate use

You may use the Services only for lawful, proper, and appropriate business purposes. You must not use or allow the Services to be used to:

  • break a law, regulation, court order, industry code, or binding regulatory requirement;
  • violate another person's privacy, intellectual property, publicity, contractual, or other rights;
  • facilitate fraud, deception, unlawful surveillance, bribery, corruption, sanctions evasion, or other unlawful conduct;
  • harass, threaten, intimidate, defame, abuse, exploit, or cause unlawful harm to a person or property;
  • interfere with elections or political processes through deceptive communications; or
  • circumvent a safeguard, compliance control, carrier restriction, destination block, rate limit, or usage control.

You must also comply with applicable carrier, numbering, messaging, and anti-fraud requirements that RecDial makes available or notifies to you. A carrier or destination may impose stricter rules than this policy.

Calls, messages, and consent

RecDial supports user-initiated, one-to-one business calls and SMS. You must not use the Services for bulk messaging, message blasting, predictive dialling, power dialling, robocalling, automated outreach, traffic generation, or other high-volume campaign activity unless RecDial expressly agrees in writing.

You must not:

  • send spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or calls that are likely to generate complaints;
  • use purchased, rented, borrowed, harvested, or unlawfully obtained contact lists;
  • contact a person without the consent or other legal basis required in every relevant jurisdiction;
  • call a number on an applicable Do Not Call register without consent or another lawful exemption;
  • send repeated or continuous communications after a person asks you to stop;
  • omit legally required sender identity, contact details, or unsubscribe instructions; or
  • make opting out difficult, costly, misleading, or conditional on providing unnecessary information.

You must keep evidence of consent where required, promptly honour every withdrawal or opt-out, and act within all applicable legal and carrier deadlines. Where a recipient sends a recognised stop request, you must not attempt to bypass or reverse the block.

Identity and caller information

You must provide accurate account and caller information and must not:

  • spoof, falsify, or manipulate caller ID, sender identity, routing information, or account details;
  • use a number you are not authorised to present;
  • impersonate or misrepresent a person, organisation, recruiter, candidate, government body, carrier, or RecDial;
  • use synthetic, cloned, or AI-generated identity or voice content deceptively;
  • phish for credentials, financial information, personal information, or confidential material; or
  • hide the identity of the person or business responsible for a commercial communication where identification is required.

Prohibited content and conduct

You must not transmit, store, create, or facilitate content that is:

  • illegal, fraudulent, misleading, defamatory, threatening, hateful, abusive, or unlawfully discriminatory;
  • obscene, exploitative, or connected with unlawful sexual content or child sexual abuse material;
  • infringing, misappropriated, or shared without necessary rights;
  • designed to distribute malware, steal credentials, exploit systems, or cause technical harm; or
  • otherwise prohibited by a carrier, destination network, or applicable industry rule.

Some carriers prohibit categories even where the underlying activity may be lawful in a particular place. Depending on the number, destination, and channel, unsupported categories may include adult entertainment, firearms, tobacco, vaping, unlawful or controlled substances, gambling, cryptocurrency, investment promotions, high-risk lending, debt relief, credit repair, third-party lead generation, pyramid schemes, and deceptive work-from-home programs. You must not use the affected channel for a category that a carrier prohibits.

Recordings, AI, and personal information

You must have all rights, authority, notices, and consents required before recording, monitoring, transcribing, summarising, analysing, storing, or sharing a communication. Requirements may depend on every participant's location and the purpose and circumstances of the communication.

You must not:

  • record or process a person's voice or biometric information without necessary authority;
  • clone or generate a synthetic version of an individual's voice without prior express authorisation;
  • use AI output to deceive a person about who created or approved a communication;
  • submit personal, confidential, or regulated information you have no right to process; or
  • use AI output without appropriate human review where it may significantly affect a person.

Security and network integrity

You must not:

  • probe, scan, test, access, monitor, or attack a system or network without the owner's authorisation;
  • bypass authentication, access controls, rate limits, security tools, or fraud controls;
  • introduce malware, destructive code, denial-of-service traffic, or harmful components;
  • interfere with, overload, degrade, or disrupt the Services, a carrier, another user, or a third-party system;
  • extract data or content through scraping or automated means not expressly supported by RecDial;
  • share credentials or configure an account in a way that creates unreasonable security risk; or
  • use another provider or system to conceal or facilitate conduct prohibited by this policy.

If you discover a vulnerability or security issue, report it privately to support@recdial.com and do not exploit it, access unnecessary data, disrupt service, or disclose it publicly before RecDial has had a reasonable opportunity to respond.

Numbers and usage patterns

You must not:

  • hoard, warehouse, squat on, or park phone numbers without legitimate active use;
  • present a RecDial or carrier number from another network in a fraudulent, deceptive, or spam-related way;
  • resell, relay, transit, aggregate, gateway, or terminate third-party traffic without a separate written agreement;
  • generate artificial traffic, charges, rebates, revenue share, or other financial benefit through calling or messaging patterns;
  • make repetitive, abandoned, very long, continuous, or high-frequency calls likely to cause complaints or network harm;
  • use open lines for monitoring, intercom, traffic stimulation, free conference calling, or similar abnormal activity; or
  • exceed a notified call-per-second, volume, destination, fair-use, or carrier threshold.

RecDial may apply reasonable destination blocks, volume limits, spend controls, and fraud protections based on observed usage, carrier requirements, complaint patterns, or network risk.

High-risk and emergency use

The Services are not designed for hazardous or fail-safe environments, life support, emergency response, aircraft or vehicle control, nuclear facilities, weapons systems, or any use where failure could reasonably cause death, serious injury, or major property or environmental damage.

RecDial does not support emergency calling. You must not represent that the Services can contact 000 or another emergency service, and you must maintain a separate reliable means of emergency communication for every user.

You must not use the Services while driving or in another situation where doing so would be unsafe or unlawful.

Monitoring and enforcement

RecDial may investigate suspected violations, abuse reports, unusual usage, carrier notices, and regulatory requests. We may use service metadata, complaint information, routing records, and limited content review where reasonably necessary and lawful to investigate, prevent harm, protect the Services, or comply with a carrier or authority.

Depending on severity, we may warn you, require corrective action, filter traffic, block content or destinations, restrict a number or user, apply spend controls, suspend an affected Service, remove unlawful material, or terminate under the Terms of Service. We will use proportionate measures and provide notice and an opportunity to cure where reasonably practicable.

We may act immediately where necessary to address fraud, illegality, security risk, carrier requirements, serious complaints, network harm, or urgent risk to a person or third party. We may preserve and disclose information where required or authorised by law.

Policy changes and contact

We may update this policy as the Services, laws, carriers, destinations, and abuse risks change. We will publish the updated version and notify customers of material new restrictions. An urgent legal, carrier, fraud, security, or service-continuity requirement may take effect sooner.

Report suspected abuse or ask a policy question at support@recdial.com. Include the relevant Customer, user, phone number, date, time, destination, and a concise description where available.
